Life is hard. Your service should not make it harder.

I'm Ryann Foelker, keynote speaker and executive advisor. Companies keep pouring money into modernization while human help gets harder to find. I help leaders use modernization to create value people can actually feel — the kind competitors can't copy, that grows revenue and earns back trust.

The Burden Tax

The hidden cost people pay when companies modernize for their own efficiency and quietly push the effort, uncertainty, and invisible labor onto everyone else. It shows up as more self-service and less human help in exactly the moments people need it, and its eroding trust just as public opinion on AI is nosediving. We keep blaming the technology, but the real problem is how we're using it. In the face of ballooning IT costs and disappointing results, I offer a better move: use modernization to create value people can feel.

Designed Equilibrium

This is the answer to the Burden Tax: how to modernize without dumping the burden onto the customers, employees, and partners you can't afford to lose. Designed Equilibrium is a framework for change in complicated systems. I developed it inside regulated, high-stakes service industries, where change is interconnected, move one part and the rest moves with it. The work is to sense where the system is strained, then design the products, operating models, and metrics that put it back in balance instead of just passing inspection. When the system is in balance, the relationships inside it get stronger over time. That's the thing competitors can't copy, and where trust, loyalty, and lasting revenue come from.
